St. Martin's University Hospital – Visual Identity
Martin University Hospital in Slovakia is an investor for the construction of a new university hospital, which should be characterized by a timeless design and which would meet all the attributes of a modern and efficient medical facility. It is prepared as "green" and digital. It will also be a center for the education of health professionals and a research hospital.
The comprehensive design of the new hospital is based on the analysis and evaluation of the current inefficient flow system of patients across a number of workplaces. The current global trend is based on the search for a unique design with sophisticated logistics, the most modern procedures, top staff, sophisticated IT structure (smart solutions) and minimal impact on the environment (green hospital). The mass of the hospital itself is shaped by the mutual relationship between the natural environment and its urban environment context. Short links between individual departments are a significant part of the concept in terms of vertical and horizontal continuity. The goal of such an arrangement is not only the monitoring of functional and operational relationships, but also a strong orientation towards the patient.
In April 2023, a public tender was launched for the creation of a logo and visual identity for the new St. Martin's University Hospital. This project shows my design, which was not selected as the winner.

One of the key requirements was that the new logo should work in both languages – Slovak and English.
